Wondering if coaching is the right fit? You’re not alone — here are answers to the questions I’m asked most often.
-
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is forward-focused and skills-based. It doesn’t involve diagnosis or medical treatment. Instead, we focus on building healthier communication patterns, practicing tools you can use right away, and strengthening connection.
-
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes, many clients successfully use HSA/FSA cards for coaching services. Since coaching is not billed through insurance, payment is private-pay.
-
Do you see clients online or in person?
Both. Sessions are available virtually (secure video platform) and in-person in Portland, Oregon.
-
What if my partner isn’t sure about coaching?
That’s okay. It’s common for one partner to feel hesitant at first. In our work, we create a supportive space where both voices are heard. Many couples find that even one or two sessions can shift the tone and open up new possibilities.
-
Do you work with individuals as well as couples?
Yes. I also work one-on-one with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, parenting stress, or relational challenges.
